No One Cares About Your Art
But listen up
When you first start making art of any kind, no one will care.
It’s hard to keep going when you feel like you’re shouting into the void.
It takes time for you to master your process and it takes time for people to get on board.
Just keep making.
Along the way you’ll grow as an artist and as a person. Share your story and people will gradually start to notice.
You never know who you’ll pick up along the way. The internet is crazy.

The best way to attract a crowd is with a crowd. If you show up every day and you keep *making*, you’ll start to build that crowd, one person at a time.
Your earliest fans are the ones who will be your most passionate – people love to be right. They liked you before you ‘made it’!
No one cared about my work when I started. I built trust with consistency.
I found the people who get what my work is about.
The people who fight with love and kindness. Who believe in the bright light of the human spirit.
When you feel like it’s pointless, because no one is watching, that’s when you lose consistency. You drop out of peoples peripheral vision. On some level they lose faith in you.
Keep making.
Find your tribe.
Eventually you’ll change the world with your work but today, just focus on changing one person’s mind. Creating one smile. Making one person *believe*
Hopefully, today, you’re my one person.

Definitely feeling invisible recently! Not helped by Insta which was my main way to connect, and now I might as well be blowing bubbles into an abyss 🤪. I will always follow what I want to do and HOW, but sometimes it’s hard to believe it will get me any where 🫣.
Thank you for this. I try my best to keep showing up in both my art and writing. Trying not to burn myself out.
