After being away from podcasting for three years and breaking away from my former co-host, I was so scared to relaunch Creative Rebels
I’ve been so humbled by the incredible feedback on the first three episodes 💛
If you’ve not caught up yet, you can find these episodes on Substack, Spotify, Apple and anywhere you get pods :) Listen to best selling author Emma Gannon, viral writer and music producer Elijah and world renowned artist, Mackenzie Thorpe.
This week’s ep is with my friend Amie.
If you’re not one of her 500k instagram followers, you almost certainly will have seen some of her work. Her hand written notes are as much self reminders as they are notes to fellow creatives.
These posts frequently go viral. They go viral because they hit you in the face, make you question what doesn’t make sense and give you permission to create.
Amie has been through the ringer, shouted into the void, self-published books that no one read. She’s been close to giving up, on the very edge of it but kept scratching and clawing because she was brave enough to realise the world needed her art.
Sometimes being a creative is really fking hard. But Amie believes, as I do, that ‘We Need Your Art’.
The problem is that you might not believe that yet, not fully, anyway.
Listen to this episode and it will bring you a step closer.
Or just listen to two creatives getting overly passionate and sweary about their shared beliefs. Either option is valid.
💛💛💛Massive shout out to everyone who became a paid supporter of the show last week. The podcast is self-funded because.. well, I believe in it (for transparency, that means £400 per month for editing). Thank you for believing in the show as much as I do.
